ABOUT MARY G. CONNOLLY
The journey so far has included more than two decades of non-profit leadership and strategy, team building, fundraising, community engagement, corporate partnership, and project management experience as well as a passion for running and coaching that I use to help others. My Superpower is “rolling with the punches” and looking at challenges from new perspectives to help my organizations, clients, and personal network. I have a passion for making and maintaining connections. My skills and experience proved valuable especially in 2014 when my family was faced with unimaginable tragedy and loss. I was able to pivot to full-time consulting which better suited our new normal. I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, certified running coach, and advocate for mental health. I am the author of TheCauseCoach blog, writing to inspire better mental and physical health, and a passion for life, and the host of TheCauseCoach podcast which focuses on charity running and events. I have personally raised more than for numerous organizations while completing marathons and half marathons as a charity runner. After spending the better part of the last 25 years trying to put more running in my fundraising and more fundraising in my running, I landed in my current position at Mercy Home for Boys & Girls providing leadership and coaching to the Mercy Home Heroes endurance sports fundraising team. I love public speaking and have served as a media spokesperson. I have facilitated trainings and workshops, presented at national conferences, and appeared on local and National TV broadcasts and in print media.
