Conducted qualitative research to distill promising practices in subnational governance and capacity-building for quality improvement in Nigeria, Ghana and Sierra Leone• Design mixed-methods implementation research to assess health outcomes, patient and provider experience of care• Technical expert for World Health Organization working group on measuring quality of care for the small and sick newborn. ABOUT MARY DRAKE
I am a curious, results-driven and analytic international public health professional with more than 17 years working in LMICs. I direct my energy to my main passions of maternal and newborn quality of care, care of the small and sick newborn and HIV prevention through M&E, CLA and implementation research. I\'ve worked on the USAID RMNCH flagship projects for the last 13 years (ACCESS-FP, MCHIP, MCSP, MCGL). I have published with my colleagues from LMICs, and practice capacity-building and receiving through these efforts. In 8 of the last seventeen years I lived and worked with MOH in developing countries providing health technical assistance through USAID health projects (6 years Tanzania, 2 years El Salvador). I am familiar with multiple donors (USAID, CDC, BMGF, CIFF, PEPFAR, ELMA) and am adept at quickly identifying donor requirements and priorities.
