ABOUT MARY BETH SCHWARTZ

I am highly skilled at helping organizations clearly and effectively communicate with their employees, business partners, and other stakeholders to achieve their goals and successfully navigate change. Drawn to my profession by a love of language, I strive to ensure that people understand what they need to know in order to do their best work. I am especially adept at understanding and simplifying complex material to fit the audience, creating clear, concise messaging that always keeps the end user in mind. The communications industry is vibrant and ever-changing. I enjoy the challenge of finding creative ways to meaningfully engage audiences to break through the growing clutter of social media and other messages that threaten to overwhelm us all. Accomplishments of which I am especially proud include: • Collaborating with other organizations on communications for the award-winning RARE Campaign, which helped prevent nearly avoidable hospital readmissions across Minnesota. • Complete redesign of the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement website in 2013. • Leading employee communications for two major real estate moves at a large Twin Cities health care organization. • Leading communications for Going Beyond Clinical Walls, a series of communications and resources to help clinicians, clinical staff and administrators connect with community partners and resources for effective problem-solving in health care. I would enjoy connecting to discover and discuss our mutual interests.
