Martin is a Technical Director based out of Manchester. Prior to moving back to the UK, Martin worked as a Hydraulic Modeller in SKM\'s New Zealand and Australia offices, working on a number of major stormwater studies, including Sydney Airport and Auckland Integrated Catchment Study. Martin has experience of providing hydrology, peat, private water supply and flood risk assessments on a range of development types including mixed-use urban developments, educational establishments, hospitals, wind farms and power plants. Martin has also developed excellent relationships with various regional teams of the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, to facilitate the negotiation and management of flood risk solutions. With Martin’s background in stormwater management and hydraulic modelling he is also able to integrate his flood studies with drainage design and provide valuable input to the development of sustainable drainage solutions. Martin is an experienced GIS practitioner and was involved in the development of this service within SKM in the UK. He uses GIS software in support of flood risk studies for the mapping of topography and floodplain extents, and in other studies in support of mapping constraints. Martin has assisted a number of renewable energy developers and government bodies with site selection studies internationally and across the UK.
