ABOUT MARTIN ASHTON

I am a senior business development and client relationship professional with over 20 years’ experience at some of the world’s largest and most prestigious global law firms in the UK and Australia. Throughout my career, I have partnered with leading international banks, FTSE 100 companies, and multinationals to drive growth, strengthen strategic relationships, and deliver measurable commercial results. My expertise covers the full spectrum of client relationship management — from leading key account programmes for high-value, multi-jurisdictional clients, to delivering strategic business planning, building robust sales pipelines, and designing impactful thought leadership campaigns. I have played a pivotal role in embedding relationship-driven cultures within complex, global partnerships. An experienced coach and mentor, I have guided senior partners through pitches, presentations, and consultative selling, helping them win and retain major clients in highly competitive markets. Known for my ability to influence at C-suite level, I combine commercial acumen with a trusted-advisor approach to create enduring client value. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Wales, Swansea Met, and am a Chartered Marketer with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. In 2017, I was honoured with admission to the Freedom of the City of London and became a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Marketors, where I now serve on the Court.
