ABOUT LYNN W.

Final-year medical student with a deep fascination for human physiology, aerospace medicine, and translational aging research. I recently began my clinical year in surgery and am conducting a doctoral thesis on ion composition and cellular aging in fibroblasts. With practical experience across emergency medicine, anaesthesiology, and forensic pathology, I thrive where science, medicine, and innovation intersect. As an active member of the German Society for Aerospace Medicine and the Austrian Space Forum, and currently training as an analog astronaut for my mission next summer, I’m drawn to research that pushes human limits. Whether in extreme environments like the ICU, remote field operations, or space-analog habitats, I’m energized by work that expands our understanding of human performance and resilience. My long-term goal is to become an anesthesiologist, an innovator in human performance and extreme-environment medicine, and ultimately, an astronaut.Driven by curiosity, empathy, and a love for adventure (especially in the mountains), I’m always eager to collaborate with people who believe science should be bold, humane, and just a bit cosmic.
