ABOUT MARK SMITH
I\'ve worked in PR, marketing and comms positions since 2003, mainly in the voluntary and public sectors. Prior to this, I worked in local radio as a broadcast journalist. I have a lot of experience in social media management, media and public relations, campaigns, event management, communications planning, stakeholder liaison and support, marketing and media training. I set myself high standards and try to encourage and advise colleagues wherever possible, while seeking to learn from more experienced colleagues and people in other organisations. I\'m also passionate about mental health and the arts, and have brought the two worlds together in my spare time. I set up a volunteer-led organisation,\'Making Minds\', that explored mental health through the arts and creativity. I am a founder member and co-organiser of the Welsh mental health arts festival, and am now developing a campaign,\'The 66 99 Project\', that is aiming to make it easier for people to talk about suicide, with the arts and creativity the driver for this. I have bipolar disorder and am active campaigner in this field.
