Yes, it\'s true! Grapes ARE grown in North Yorkshire! I get a real buzz as Dunesforde\'s Brand Ambassador leading tours of guests around vines, sharing our Roman connection and then the main event - the tasting of our award winning wines! Plus, as a \"Vineyard Volunteer\" there\'s never a dull moment, pruning, tying back, even making wasp traps in old jam jars full of sugar solution! Harvest time of course is when the fruits of our labour come to the fore. Oh and did I mention that in July 2022, Dunesforde’s Classic Cuvée - Queen of the North - was awarded \"Best Wine for Midlands and North\" by WineGB. Thanks Oz Clarke and Susie Barrie! Bookings for corporate events, meetings and parties are at record levels and let\'s be frank, what better backdrop to host an event than a Yorkshire Vineyard? The Evening With the brilliant Steven Robinson was a complete sell out - an amazing night! And of course, I love it when the TV, Press and Media pay a visit - the latest, ITV National News and BBC Radio. Flippin\'\'eck! Where did those all those years go? It doesn\'t seem two minutes since it all started back at National Travelworld in 1983. Royal Mail post a daily excitement, the buzz of the telex (ask your Granddad), fax still to be invented. As for email and Facetime. well that was something you saw on Star Trek. It\'s been a sales & media blast, with many highlights along the way. BBC Radio Newcastle/Radio Tees, Youngest ABTA Travel Agency Manager. Inspector and recruiter of independent hotels. Sales & Marketing Director for the UK\'s most respected Schools Tour Operator, STS Travel. Proud Director of HM Government\'s main event Agency for 15 years. Being \"Dad\", the old salesman within the World of Hotels. And finally a nod to my journalism roots as an Advisory Board Member for meetingsclub.com an online hospitality and venue review site. Fast forward to 2020 and I decided to scale back a bit and pursue a portfolio of Voluntary, Freelance and Consultancy roles plus anything else that gives me the chance to hear the sound of my own voice and that of Yorkshire\'s Greatest Talent winner Elle Coles.
