AIops, Mainframe Software Division in PragueWorking on development of WLA ESP, both current and future versions. This is a large scale HLASM system of 100s of thousands of lines of Assembler code, that has seen active development over a span of almost 40 years. It is written using in-house High-Level macros in a structured manner. It makes use of most system interfaces offered by z/OS through z/OS 3.2.My role in the first year was to understand the codebase, and to look for opportunities for future enhancements in order to keep the product competitive. Next I moved on to future planning and a new release, assuming the role of Team Architect. Now having passed the role of Team Architect to younger staff, I remain actively involved in the next version of WLA ESP.

A Mainframe (IBM z Systems) related career of 45+ years. Covering all aspects from Pre-Sales through Post Sales, Support, Development, Testing and Performance tuning. Always with a highly technical and R&D bias, especially for IBM (17 years), Broadcom/CA (2 years), and model9 (2 years)(acquired by BMC). Now back at Broadcom/CA in Prague for another 3+ years and counting -)Currently focused on IBM HLASM development on a daily basis, and of course lots of meetings.I\'ve been a team leader and technical leader, one who is used to and enjoys working with much younger and inexperienced staff (they keep me young!)Someone who has always stayed technically current (even stuff in test!) and is as comfortable using Linux on a Mainframe (or PC) as z/OS.Someone who enjoys seeing and using new generations of Mainframes (even those in test!).I am comfortable meeting/talking/presenting with senior executives or junior staff.I enjoy brainstorming the seemingly unbelievable \"What-Ifs?\" of design and planning and welcome the input of those with other expertise to provide group efforts.
