ABOUT ANDREA FEATHERSTON

Some products become must-haves. Others collect dust. 🤔 After 20-plus years I know why. It\'s never the product. It\'s always the positioning.I revel in hard problems. New market, complex technology, no playbook — that\'s where I do my best work. I\'ve built product marketing programs from scratch in six industries I didn\'t know when I started. Not because I had to. Because figuring out who actually needs something and why — in territory nobody\'s mapped yet — is the part of this job I find genuinely interesting. Most PMMs find it terrifying. I find it fun. What that looks like in practice:67%+ sign-up rate among customers in four months at Christensen — 208% ARR growth within the year$2M to $12M revenue at Percussionaire — full rebrand, global seminar series, self-funded after year one$2M to $10M at My Patriot Supply — GTM strategies that supported roughly $36M in venture capital$250K+ Kickstarter, AR subscriptions,$500K in blanket sales — Rossi Associates, five years of fractional workI work upstream — ICP development, competitive intelligence, win/loss analysis, pricing research, messaging architecture, sales enablement. The part that decides whether everything downstream actually works. I\'ve also been doing this long enough to spot the difference between a real strategy and a plan someone made up in a conference room. Those aren\'t the same thing. And the gap between them is usually where revenue goes to die.I use AI tools every day — not to go faster, but to go deeper. Competitive intelligence and win/loss analysis at a depth that used to take a team twice my size. I\'m already teaching clients how to do the same.I\'m not looking for roles where product marketing is a support function. I want to be where the strategy gets set, where the hard questions actually get asked, and where the PMM team is held to the same standard as Sales. If that\'s what you\'re building — let\'s talk.Outside work: U.S. National Women\'s Rowing Team 1990–1992. NEZ Dressage Champion x2. Currently ranked Top 5 Veterans Masters Rower internationally. Not a former athlete — an active one. Early mornings, cold water, burning lungs — hurting and doing it anyway, locked in on a goal long after easy motivation is gone. That\'s not separate from how I work. It\'s exactly how I work.
