ABOUT MARK ROSE
Rabbi Mark Rose is at the heart of the most ambitious Jewish teen engagement initiative in JSU’s history — with a national strategy to reach engaged teens annually across public and private schools by 2029. He came to this work through his own journey: raised in a small Jewish community, spent years far from Jewish life, and found his way back through personal loss and a promise made.I lead a team building two parallel initiatives that together represent a transformation in Jewish teen engagement. The first is JSU’s ambitious expansion - working toward meaningfully engaging public and private school teens annually by 2029. The second is 4G and BEIS, NCSY’s groundbreaking single-gender day school programs, which are producing extraordinary growth in day school engagement, impacting the full spectrum of Jewish teen education.What\'s producing results is the conviction that Jewish teen engagement works when it is built in genuine collaboration with schools and communities rather than independent of them, when it creates an informal, opt-in, inspirational space that teens choose rather than are assigned to, and when dedicated mentors and talented staff invest in real relationships and innovative programs. The same philosophy shapes how I work with organizational stakeholders. The most powerful partnerships happen when high-caliber people are engaged for their experience, wisdom, and strategic thinking, not just their resources. When people can act as co-architects of something they believe in, they bring more passion, value and commitment. If you\'re working on Jewish continuity, teen engagement, non-profit scaling, or what Jewish organizational life looks like for the next generation, I\'d like to be in that conversation.Current Role Description:Regional Director & Chief Executive | Southern NCSYDriving $5M+ in strategic fundraising and leading a team through the organization\'s most significant growth phase - a transformational expansion across public school and day school teen engagement as part of a national initiative to reach meaningfully engaged teens annually by 2029.Rebuilt organizational infrastructure, culture, and financial health - breaking attendance records and building a high-performance team, achieving groundbreaking results across JSU engagement and NCSY\'s 4G and BEIS single-gender day school programs
