ABOUT MARK MCCOMISH

I am a business focused Enterprise Architect with over 20 years’ experience advising large organisations on business, information and technology strategy. Over this time I have acquired detailed knowledge of many business sectors and the transformational challenges the information age presents. During my career I have provided consultancy services and managed teams for many clients in different business sectors across all architecture disciplines. I have performed many different roles, at all organisational levels including strategy and assurance, design and specification, deployment and implementation. I have developed sound, experience-based skills in Business and Information Architecture and have detailed knowledge of business capability, process and data modelling. I have a comprehensive understanding of technology spanning applications and infrastructure with particular emphasis on Digital, Mobile, Collaboration and Cloud / Internet technologies. I have up to date knowledge of architecture strategy and governance, best practice, design patterns and implementation methodologies. I have an excellent end to end comprehension of software architecture, server and network infrastructure at both low and high levels. I have strong commercial awareness and instinctively see the bigger picture and the enterprise view. I believe in the benefits of conceptual thinking and discussion and possess an affinity with the design of business solutions and strategies. I take pride in establishing lasting business relationships through communicating, understanding and responding to the needs of business people and respect the responsibility inherent within consultancy when influencing the decision making process and re-engineering business processes.
