ABOUT MARK KOWALYK
Mark grew up in the audio visual industry from a young age with his father owning ProAV from the time he was a child. At that time ProAV was primarily a service business focused on service and repair of commercial audio visual equipment. It was not usual for Mark to travel the province of Saskatchewan with this father during the summer collecting overheads and slide projectors to be repaired during the summer holidays. Many of the overheads and slide projectors would be stored in the family garage as the office did not have the space to house all the equipment needing summer service. Mark remembers fondly these trips and the garage full of equipment. To him, the garage of equipment served as a field of dreams so to speak, sparking his interest in the family business he would ultimately build his career in. Over the years ProAV has grown into a full service audio visual provider offering rentals, sales, integration, system design and training for many commercial audio visual manufacturers. Mark would join the team at ProAV in a full time capacity in 2007 working first as a rental and staging technician before moving into a role as the rental branch manager at ProAV and finally becoming a partner in the business in 2013.
