In my role as Partner leading the volume motor team, I am responsible for technical performance, strategy and delivery. I act on catastrophic personal injury claims and cases involving motor policy indemnity and specialise in Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL), Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) and asbestos claims.During my time at Clyde & Co I have acted for insurers in relation to claims of utmost severity, including the defence of a paraplegic claim, incurred during a police chase, and have acted for insurers in the Autofocus test litigation, relating to allegations of commercial fraud by expert witnesses and the financial implication of that alleged fraud to third party hire companies. I have advised on the defence of joint enterprise volenti together with complex issues as to the claimant\'s knowledge of the driver\'s intoxication, drug abuse and complex issues regarding the causative relevance of the claimant\'s failure to wear a seat belt. I have also advised Dutch insurers in relation to an action pursued in the High Court of Amsterdam on the care and Court of Protection element of a UK national\'s brain injury claim.In addition to this, I have acted on behalf of a local authority in the Mesothelioma Trigger Litigation in the Supreme Court.
