ABOUT MARK EADES

My career began working as a graduate Accountant for a small residential property developer. As the organsiation grew, we expanded to the commercial sector, which enabled me to begin a rewarding career in contract administration. Now, with over 25 years’ experience as a construction professional gained at Cockram Construction, I’ve been fortunate to be involved in the delivery of world class facilities both in Australia and overseas. Such projects have included R&D, containment, pharmaceutical, biological and clean room facilities. I am proud to have managed the delivery of several successful and complex projects which were awarded by the Master Builders Association of Victoria. These projects provided the opportunity to engage with construction professionals and varied clients across disperse geographic locations, along with an in-depth understanding of different construction methods, enabling me to overcome the challenge of navigating cultural differences to obtain positive outcomes.My international career includes project based roles in China and Puerto Rico allowed me to be involved in an operational and business development role in San Francisco. This gave me a better understanding of the business as a whole, providing invaluable operational, financial and client relationship management experience. As a Senior Construction Manager, I appreciate being able to draw upon my vast experiences and knowledge including design management, construction management, services/commissioning and general operational management, ensuring successful outcomes. Our people are our greatest asset and I genuinely enjoy mentoring and developing our project teams to help them get the most out of their experience, progress their careers, whilst fostering an engaged, collaborative workforce.I highly value the personal interactions that my role offers and its day to day challenges and am looking forward to the ongoing opportunities that the new Icon Cockram merger will bring.
