Under the direction and leadership of the Administrative Director of Operations and Chief Medical Officer, provides coordination and support for planning, implementing, evaluating Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness activities for all Maine General facilities including Hospitals, Long Term Care, Express Care, Home Care/Hospice, Physiatry and Family Medicine facilities. Coordinates all aspects including but not limited to scheduling, calendar maintenance and regulatory documentation for all Maine General Health Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness activities. Serves as liaison to internal leadership and staff as well as external agencies and linkages. Act as Hospital Safety Officer. Review and revise hospital emergency codes and provide technical support upon request. Assist hospital leadership with planning and preparing for Joint Commission Inspections. Design and administer emergency or disaster preparedness training courses for clinical and support staff. Coordinate in accordance with DEP and DOT regulations, all aspects of hazardous waste disposal pharmaceutical and general for all facilities. Assist with other projects and assignments as needed by Senior Leadership Team.
