ABOUT MARISSA BLUNSCHI
I lead SCE\'s State Regulatory Relations team and am responsible for engaging with California agencies to advance clean energy and environmental policy, ensure affordability for our customers, protect our communities through wildfire mitigation, and maintain safety and reliability in our operations. In my fourteen years at Edison, I\'ve led strategy and process improvements for asset strategy and planning, developed cross-functional teams to advance utility wildfire safety programs, and directed day-to-day operations in the office of the CEO at Edison International (the parent company of SCE). I\'ve held leading roles on a broad range of emerging and cross-cutting energy policy matters, including transportation electrification, energy storage, distributed energy resources, customer solar programs, and net energy metering tariff policy. I also served as an Energy Advisor for the successful Los Angeles 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Bid, providing expertise on energy and sustainability strategy. Prior to my work at Edison, I was a public policy analyst for an environmental consulting firm, and conducted research for an environmental investment company. I am a graduate of USC\'s Sol Price School of Public Policy with a master\'s degree in Public Policy (specialization in Environmental Policy). I received my bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Systems from UC San Diego where I also minored in business and psychology.
