In my role as a Production Coordinator, I oversee all student films produced within the first and second year of the BA Filmmaking course. I serve as the main point of contact for students, addressing any issues or inquiries they may have.This responsibility entails managing a substantial volume of films, ranging from 20 to 80 projects simultaneously. These films vary in crew sizes, ranging from compact teams of 3 to larger-scale productions with 30 or more individuals involved. On average, I handle approximately 100 films throughout the academic year.Additionally, I bring my expertise as an editor and Post-production supervisor to the table. I provide technical support and guidance during the Post-Production phase, ensuring that students meet the necessary media requirements and standards.Beyond these core responsibilities, I undertake various other duties to enhance the overall production experience too. This includes managing social media platforms to promote student films and engage with the audience. I oversee database management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all film projects. I also contribute to the strategic planning of film festival submissions and develop a comprehensive festival strategy to maximize exposure for the student films. I also assist in creating compelling showreels that showcase the talents and achievements of our filmmakers.As a Production Coordinator, I am fully dedicated to facilitating the successful execution of student films, providing essential support, and managing a diverse range of tasks, from coordination to post-production, social media management, database organization, film festival strategies, and showreel creation.
