As Outreach Education Coordinator, I coordinate field excursions to various locations within the Carmel River Watershed. We have served student populations from K-12 in schools, from Salinas, Greenfield, Gonzales, Seaside, Marina, Monterey, and Carmel. We have worked extensively with target groups such as the RISE (Recruitment in Science Education) students from Marina and N. Salinas High schools. We also have a strong relationship with the Watershed Institute at CSUMB, and have student interns working in environmental education.We are always seeking to bring more students and the public out to the watershed to learn about stewardship of the land and river in the Carmel River Watershed. Starting in May 2017, we launched public tours of the former San Clemente Dam Site, in collaboration with MPRPD. Follow us on Facebook and on our website at: http://carmelriverwatershed.org/
