ABOUT MARIA NGUYEN
I\'m dedicated to ending violence against women and children. Over the course of my career, I have designed and facilitated training on comprehensive sexuality education and gender-based violence prevention across sectors including education, health, and law enforcement. Currently, I am working to address tech-facilitated gender-based violence through my role as Assistant Manager in the International Engagement Section at eSafety Commissioner- an independent agency of the Australian Government responsible for the regulation of online safety.I\'ve spoken at high-level global forums on violence prevention, the power of education, and youth engagement- most notably co-leading the United Nations Transforming Education Summit in 2022 and presenting at the First Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children in 2024. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Education and a Diploma of Project Management, and I am currently completing a Master of Public Policy. I have studied in Vanuatu and Singapore as a New Colombo Plan Scholar and was honoured as a \'Young Woman to Watch in International Affairs\' in 2023.
