ABOUT MARIA BLOCKER
I can finally answer the age-old question,\"what do you want to be when you grow up\"? Well, a marketer!Back in 2015, like many freshly minted college grads, the question of \"what are you going to do now\" spun around my head. Graduating from the University of Washington with a BA in Communications and Political Science, I certainly had many ideas. While I did not know exactly where I was going to land, I did know three things: 1. I wanted to connect and work with people 2. Be of service to others 3. I had a desire to be boundless; doing the same thing day-in and day-out was not for me.Fast forward to me sitting in my first MBA marketing class; I felt the spark click. Marketing filled the extra piece that was missing for me. Through my course work, I found that I enjoyed the creativity, problem solving, and opportunity for collaboration. Moving forward, I want to use my experience from my past career in sales in conjunction with my course work from my MBA program to help build marketing programs for companies. I want to continue to solve problems, connect with people, and create.
