ABOUT JESSICA MARGOLIN
I accelerate innovation by applying analysis and design thinking to complex social and environmental challenges. With over 30 years of experience in research, strategy, and innovation, I am passionate about bridging the gap between business and social impact. I have founded and led several initiatives and communities that foster collaboration, learning, and action around sustainability, diversity, and inclusion. For example, at Institute for the Future, I provided the 2007 Ten-Year Forecast Perspective on Finance, where I introduced the idea - this was novel, then - of using intangible assets to evaluate risk. Prior to that, my work had led to a successful technique for evaluating impact investments in equities, and subsequent to my work at IFTF, I developed a method for combining scenario analysis with impact investment across the entire portfolio of a HNW client, as well as novel rating systems. At Mozilla, a large social venture, I created and headed the Analyst & Researcher Community, which enabled better product and executive decision-making by convening a cross-functional community of practice. I write on speak on these topics, as well as entrepreneurship, spirituality, and business growth. Finally as a member of Mentor Capital Network, I help build out the ecosystem in social ventures and materials-related innovation.
