ABOUT MARGARET WANG

I have worked in various industries and companies, big and small, and the common thread through my journey is my passion for how technology can seamlessly fit into our every day. I am constantly fascinated by how technology intersects with just about every facet of our lives. It is what has driven me from when I was a kid to when I studied engineering in school to now. While my focus is on development and delivery of digital products, purpose and value is just as important to me. I\'ve always loved building and creating things, but I also enjoy connecting and collaborating with others, and as a people leader, I recognize the multiplying factor of teams who work well together. I place a strong focus on fostering effective teamwork and the growth and development of the whole team, as well as the individual team members, and I\'m proud of the high-performing teams I\'ve had the honor of building and leading. It\'s no secret that technology sectors have historically lacked diverse representation. As a woman in engineering, the daughter of a mother with a 30+ year career in engineering, and the mother of a daughter who wishes to pursue engineering, diversity and inclusion has always been at the top of my mind. Creating a diverse and inclusive culture is a journey that requires sustained focus and extends beyond corporate goals. I strongly believe our future generations need more access to STEM, to be provided with equitable opportunities, and to support and encourage them in their exploration and interests. Success to me is helping others break through the ceiling!
