ABOUT MARGARET THRESHER
With an accomplished career spanning strategic communications and marketing, I now serve as the Director of Communications & Advocacy at the Collaborative to End Human Trafficking, where my passion for driving social change is front and center. Previously, I led marketing and communications efforts as Vice President for the Centers for Families and Children and Step Forward. At the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I oversaw strategic planning, key messaging, and digital media management, spearheading a steady, strategic increase in positive media exposure. My diverse experience in government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors across Cleveland and Phoenix has shaped me into a well-rounded communications leader. In Cleveland, I was promoted to Cultural Affairs Manager in the Mayor’s Office, and in Phoenix, I worked with R&R Partners, the public affairs and advertising agency behind the renowned “What Happens Here, Stays Here” campaign. As a proud ambassador for Cleveland, I’m also dedicated to community service. I’ve served on the Board of Directors for the YWCA and am an active member of LeadDIVERSITY. Previously, I served on the Board of Directors for the Phoenix Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, where I was honored with the President’s Award.
