ABOUT MARCUS NORTON

Hello and thanks for visiting my page. I work with leaders and aspiring leaders, helping them to navigate key career transitions and overcome the professional and personal challenges that matter most to them. My clients range from mid-career professionals to senior partners, entrepreneurs and CEOs working in business, law, finance, medicine, consulting, non-profits and academia. Areas I often help them with include: Taking charge of their career direction and trajectory (including finding a new role) Transitioning into new roles or re-entering the workplace after burnout Managing difficult relationships (e.g. with your board, boss or CEO) Building confidence and executive presence Developing critical skills like handling tough conversations and giving feedback Managing anxiety, stress, overwhelm and burnout Cultivating greater self-awareness and growing as a leader If your focus is developing as a leader, I can support you in identifying your strengths and any blind spots, and building the competencies that will most increase your effectiveness. As a coach I draw on my broad professional experience, which includes almost 20 years in environmental sustainability and before that law, and spans professional services, central government and the non-profit sector. I’ve worked with boards, set strategies, implemented programs, led teams, and played the role of trusted advisor and ethical guardian. I’ve had my fair share of triumphs and plenty of frustrations too but what has always driven me is a deep-rooted desire to make a positive impact.
