Designed and completed a set of image processing experiments to investigate the ability of convolutional neural networks to learn and represent spatial relationships between objects in images. Used Tensorflow and Keras to build, train and optimise multiple convolutional neural networks capable of classifying objects and their spatial relationship. Presented findings in written, oral and visual form to technical and non-technical audiences. Highly experienced Forensic Biologist and expert witness with 18 years’ experience working alongside law enforcement agencies in the investigation and prosecution of serious crime including murder and sexual offences, producing hundreds of scientific reports for criminal proceedings and providing expert witness testimony in criminal trials.
