ABOUT MALCOLM BURTT

Manager of application development teams, particularly those involved with Microsoft Dynamics AX/Dynamics 365 F&O, and Technical Architect. I\'ve been involved in the design and development of three separate ERP vertical solutions for the Rental industry over a period of more than 20 years. Now managing a team of 20 developers and Technical Solution Architects based both onshore and offshore, building on the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform.I have been responsible for designing and delivering cutting edge technology solutions within our vertical applications, always stretching Dynamics AX to its limits to deliver the best solutions for our customers. I am deeply involved in projects from pre-sales through to delivery and account management, including working closely with consultants and solution architects to refine their solutions to ensure that functional solutions are technically robust as well as using my extensive functional knowledge of the application to ensure that solutions exploit standard functionality as much as is possible.I have extensive experience of performance tuning applications including Dynamics AX on both SQL Server and Oracle databases and in using this knowledge to ensure that developers in my time build performant solutions right from the start.Development experience includes designing and building integrations with 3rd party applications as well as advanced AX form design right across the range of modules in Dynamics 365 F&O.
