I\'ve been employed within the engineering/technical sector, within Public and Private businesses for more than 30 years; involving fault-finding (\'trouble shooting), repair, maintenance, design and development, safety, documentation, calibration and manufacturing, including technical support/research and administrative tasks.(28 years were spent with the Ministry of Defence, where I was eventually promoted in the Civil Service Grade of C2/NATO Officer OF3; equivalent to Army Major, Royal Navy Lieutenant-Commander, and RAF Squadron-Leader rank; with Security Clearance level of NATO Secret). I currently have Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)(Scotland) Clearance, from my employment with James Fisher Nuclear Limited, together with Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, dated 2016. I\'ve also served 9 years as a Army Reservist (Territorial Army) within the Royal Signals, and a Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) Field Ambulance unit. I have been registered with the UK Engineering Council as an Engineering Technician; and have held professional memberships with the Royal Aeronautical Society, Institute of Engineering & Technology, Chartered Management Institute, and the Institute of Leadership & Management. I am occasionally involved in supporting campaigns for Armed Forces Veterans (justice, welfare and fund-raising) One of my main hobbies is Cross-Stitch needlework (#CallumsCrafts), as well as hill-walking/camping/Geocaching
