ABOUT MAJOR NEHA PATEL
I donned the uniform for a decade plus, and am extremely proud to have served the country at the north and north eastern borders.The onerous challenges- from saving lives on inhabitable terrains to making the most critical items available to the last man standing (with difficulties of dried up resources: local and global) have strengthened my resolve to be the solutioning architect to the most challenging procurement and logistics issues.My experience as a keen strategist with expertise in Supply Chain Operations, Procurement & Management while in service, has been focused on optimal utilization of resources and match the skills for developing relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations for indigenous manufacture, long term solutions to eliminate critical issues and automate repetitive processes. My first stint in corporate was an impactful role at Apollo Tyres, Global Purchase Operations in Strategy team, responsible for Global Raw Material Procurement, Sustainability, and developing the Analytics Procurement vertical to enhance Suppliers engagement, negotiations and long term partnerships.In 2021, I joined Amazon Capex Procurement Operations and Sustainability for India Operations to procure from A-to-z for warehousing infrastructure, solar and wind requirements and then moved to Amazon Web Services Capex procurement for Data centres for APAC Operations. This was focussed on infrastructure and services across 12 countries and Amazon owned DCs to strategise and develop vendor base, bring automation and cost efficiencies with quality in delivery. My most recent stint is with Nxtra for Data Centre womb-to-tomb procurement, am looking for an exciting tenure and am humming -Its time for Africa!For the past 18+ years it has been an amazing roller- coaster ride and I look forward to much more!
