ABOUT MAHESH RAO

Mahesh Rao, is an entrepreneur for the last three decades. In his successful journey as an entrepreneur, he has made foray in the area of Design,Manufacturing, Export, Brand-retailing & recently in education with the passion to bring innovations and skill development. In his previous avatar in the field of Jewellery, Mahesh had founded state of the art unit to manufacture & Export jewellery mainly to the USA & The Middle East He pioneered the Branded jewellery space by launching brand CARBON. Under his guidance the brand became one of the top brands and won the appreciations from retailers as well as customers as a ‘Designed in India’ brand. He was invited to be part of many knowledge initiatives of CII,GJEPC, World Gold Council, World craft council and NID with an objective to promote knowledge and bring the ‘Designed in India ‘ tag to the forefront. In his pursuit towards integrated knowledge & innovation, Mahesh witnessed the opportunity in Schooling professional sportsperson so as to give budding talented an opportunity to build their career with a mantra “Sports is Education “. He founded PROSE academy, India’s first online school for Athletes & moved school to the playground A graduate from the Bombay university have received technical qualifications from The Jewellery Institute in Rhode Island, USA, a student of Kaizen,is a native of namma Bangalore. Mahesh is a sports enthusiast & married to Dr Anuradha.
