ABOUT MAEDBH SHEEHAN

Currently working as an ESG Programme Manager on the Origin Green team in Bord Bia where I am supporting the management of key strategic projects critical to the continued evolution and effectiveness of the programme.I completed the Bord Bia International Graduate Program, where I worked alongside the Origin Green team as a Sustainability Coordinator and completed the MSc Global Business Practice from UCD Smurfit Business School.I completed a BSc. Food Science at University College Dublin. During the degree, I studied abroad at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. A fantastic experience where I developed my education by adapting to a different style of teaching. I also completed an internship with Ornua in Kerrygold Park as part of my Food Science degree. I hope to apply the information gained from my degree to the food production industry and expand my knowledge through the experience. I also have experience working in admin-based roles. I worked as an administrative assistant at the Royal College Surgeons Ireland. I previously worked as a receptionist at Eireng Consulting Engineers. These roles have given me experience in working efficiently in a team-based work environment. As well as important administrative skills including, organisation, communication, equipment handling, customer service, and self-motivation.
