MistyWest is an engineering design consultancy that exists to create futuristic technologies that enable a healthier planet and bring prosperity to all humankind, with a focus primarily on projects that advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals. As our Content Creator, my primary role is to uphold consistent brand identity according to the company Brand Guidelines and Positioning. I create original graphics and illustrations, write and edit copy for the MistyWest blog and social media channels, have created and launched original YouTube content, and continue to work closely with our Business Development and Marketing team to ensure my efforts reflect our current focus and target verticals. I also assist our engineering team in eloquently communicating our technical expertise and product development process through creation of pitch decks, capabilities statements and client proposals, writing project copy for case studies, and other visual assets upon request. As of November 2019 I am the organizer of the quarterly Vancouver Hardware Meetup. I oversee each one through creation of marketing materials, moderating our Eventbrite and Meetup pages, engaging with audiences, and ultimately hosting and executing the event in live or online format. I support other MistyWest led events, such as FOUNDERS & FRIENDS at CES, through graphic and video assets created according to a new art direction each year. I provide Business Development support for MistyWest by strategizing and nurturing partnerships with design firms, including occasional travel to the Bay Area or to CES in Las Vegas.
