I initially joined UnboundEd as a consulting chief of staff to support the Chief Impact Officer with key initiatives during a merger of three professional learning organizations. Based on the success of these projects, I transitioned to a full-time role as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives in January 2024. In this position, I formed a new team working across the functional areas of fundraising, innovation, and organizational strategy. I oversaw the organization’s first post-merger annualized strategic planning process, aligning 15 cross-functional teams to enhance goal clarity and collaboration. I also orchestrated the acquisition of a $20M multi-year grant from a major national foundation and stewarded a $13.6M fundraising portfolio. Additionally, I managed a team that incubated three innovation projects aimed at improving educators’ use of high-quality instructional materials and structured literacy practices, positioning UnboundEd to expand its national impact.

Over the past fifteen years, I’ve led and supported mission-driven organizations, working at the intersection of education, public policy, and grassroots organizing. From founding a local chapter of a national nonprofit organization to supporting national education organizations as a consultant to shaping strategic initiatives at UnboundEd, my work centers on aligning people and resources to drive systemic change. I believe deeply in community-based solutions to address inequities rooted in racism and other forms of oppression, and I’m committed to creating lasting impact through collaboration and strategic leadership.
