ABOUT MACKENZIE PROE

I am a licensed CPA in the state of Massachusetts. I graduated from Bentley University Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and minors in Law and Management. I work for Liberty Mutual Insurance on the Corporate Development Team within Finance for US Retail Markets (USRM).On the Corporate Development team, I support the design of the M&A strategy across the business unit for our US operation. I conduct market and competitor assessments to understand business dynamics/trends and test viability of potential investment opportunities. Additionally, I build financial models to analyze and forecast target company financials as well as to define their relative value. I perform due diligence on potential M&A targets and I work with various functions within the business to develop the business case as well as prepare and deliver executive presentations to facilitate internal decision making.Prior to my current role, I designed Executive presentations for leadership. I also held multiple accounting roles within Personal Insurance. I started my career at Ernst & Young within the Commercial Assurance practice, specializing in the Software Industry. I am a hardworking, goal oriented, and an extremely focused person. Specialties: I have ten years of experience in the Insurance Industry. While at Liberty I have gained a wide range of knowledge including but not limited to: Statutory Accounting Principles, deferred acquisition costs, legal entity structures, financial statement footnotes, storyboarding, PowerPoint presentation design, International acquisition and divestitures, bancassurance agreements, project management, acquisition due diligence, etc. I also hold a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Additionally, I have three years of public accounting experience specializing in SOX control testing, Financial Statement Audits of public companies, and FASB knowledge.
