For the 11 years prior to my work with Capital One, I worked for Nichols, Jackson, Dillard, Hager & Smith, where we represented numerous government entities in our capacity as their general counsel, including, but not limited to, municipalities, appraisal districts and transportation authorities. As these entities’ counsel, I drafted and negotiated complex contracts, such as government agreements, licensing agreements, professional services agreements, and employment and separation agreements, assured that their actions were in compliance with State and Federal laws, wrote ordinances and conducted research to keep our clients up to date on legislative development and changes and prosecuted for and defended them in civil litigation.
