I lead the Advanced AI team at Digital Catapult, which carries out R&D and innovation actions on AI with the aim of accelerating AI adoption by UK industry. We have a particular focus on making generative AI scalable, efficient and validated and reliable. Some research areas we have focused on include Agentic AI (for data interoperability, process orchestration), verifiable AI, reinforcement learning and federated learning.Key activities in this role include- Carrying out industrial R&D in AI/ML (in collaboration with industrial, RTO and academic partners)- Delivering commercial AI/ML projects for cross-sector corporate clients- Supporting design and delivery of UK national Innovation programmes in AI/ML- Defining the strategic direction for AI/ML research at Digital Catapult.
