I’ve always built for the doers.A skate shop in Kensington Market because we needed a place that felt like ours.DIY venues for punk and hardcore bands because the city lacked space.A motorcycle magazine that told the stories of the people behind the ride.The thread was always the doers, the people building something. And working at agencies didn’t change that. I became obsessed with understanding people and the why behind what they do.Now I’m building Trade Tools Marketing with a long-time friend who grew a plumbing company from the ground up. We saw the same problem from different sides: home service businesses keep homes and communities running, but most of the marketing in the space feels generic or out of touch with the reality of the work and the people who do it.So we’re building Trade Tools to fix that with practical strategy, clear creative and marketing that reflects the people and culture behind the work.
