ABOUT LUKE BINDI

I initially worked with OneSteel/Arrium from 2008 to 2017. There I completed my studies part time and gained significant experience in Rockwell PLC/SCADA, DeviceNet, ControlNet, High Voltage Operation, Medium Voltage (6.6kV) Poweflex VSD\'s, Instrumentation, Radiation, Capital Upgrades, Commissioning, Project Control, RCA.My last year with Arrium was at SMR Iron Duke as Ore Beneficiation Plant Maintenance Coordinator but I have experience in various sectors of Steel and Mining divisions. I also held responsibilities of site Electrical Leader and site Radiation Officer for SMR Iron Duke.I then ventured into projects and construction with ICE Engineering and worked as a Project Engineer on BHP\'s $300m+ SCM17 shutdown where I was integrated into the primary contractor (UGL) E&I team and supported and supervised the complete strip and rebuild of a main MCC and the replacement of all LV field wiring for the Smelter Electrostatic Precipitator. Following that I stayed on with ICE in a Project Management role delivering projects across South Australia for a year until moving into the role of Branch Manager at ICE\'s Olympic Dam branch. I managed ICE Engineering\'s Olympic Dam branch for 3 years and, with the team, delivered several key projects at BHP Olympic Dam and at the Woomera Defence Range. I currently work closer to home, in Whyalla, as an Electrical Engineer for ICE at Liberty Primary Steel while my fiancee Natasha and I build our family.
