ABOUT LUIS CAMPOS
Luis Campos spent his childhood exploring Mexico, California, and Puerto Rico. His early taste for adventure grew at Brown University, where he earned a degree in classical studies. At Brown, he volunteered as a teacher, coach, and editor, played rugby and wrestled, and traveled extensively for research. His honors thesis on combat sports in the Ancient and Modern worlds earned him six fellowships and research awards, leading to trips to Greece, Italy, Argentina, and Mexico. As an undergrad, Luis also traveled to Israel, Palestine, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay for volunteer projects and to Spain and Andorra to lead language immersion programs.After graduating from Brown in 2014, Luis joined the Peace Corps and served as a teacher trainer in Mongolia. In 2016, he received a Fulbright Fellowship to continue his research on combat sports in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2017 and 2018, Luis returned to Mongolia to lead a cultural exploration trip while living with local families in the countryside. Additionally, Luis served as the Wittman Village Community Center Coordinator, where he developed a passion for 3D printing and STEAM education.In 2018, Luis moved to Shenzhen, China, to work as an International Marketing Consultant for Roselle Bio, a biotech company specializing in oral healthcare. He also worked as a freelance writer for That\'s Mag, allowing him to pursue his passion for writing—complementing his roles as a Featured Columnist for Bleacher Report and a contributor for the Huffington Post, among other publications.In 2020, Luis began a Master\'s in Public Administration program at Shanghai Jiaotong University. His dissertation explored the \"Chinese Dream\" through public administration, specifically examining the tensions between the Chinese government\'s education policy and parental expectations for their children\'s futures.After graduating in 2023, Luis continued his international adventure by traveling to over 50 cities in over 10 countries within a year—including an extended stay in South Korea, where he explored the country\'s history, culture, and national security.In 2024, working as a freelancer, he traveled through Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, France, Ghana, Mexico, and the US. His latest adventure brings him to Jena, Germany, where he is completing a Masters in International Organizations Crisis Management at Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
