I volunteer to assist with the intake process and translation of documents (Spanish) for the Asian Pacific Islander and low-income communities in Silicon Valley through ALA services. As a volunteer, I guide potential clients through the intake process, gathering information about their cases to provide appropriate assistance. I speak with clients one-on-one to collect necessary facts under the supervision of an ALA attorney, who can provide guidance and answer any questions. This process is crucial as it is the first point of contact between ALA and community members seeking assistance.
