Over the past several years, I’ve worked across Brazil, Europe and the United States helping financial institutions strengthen their AML and financial crime strategies through technology, data and cross-functional collaboration. My work has focused on improving transaction monitoring effectiveness, reducing false positives, and aligning risk frameworks with evolving regulatory expectations. Across global RegTech and fintech environments, I’ve partnered with institutions ranging from fast-growing fintechs to Tier 1 banks, supporting the implementation and calibration of systems designed to detect and prevent financial crime more effectively. Through this work, I’ve developed a strong interest in how risk often emerges in less obvious ways, not through clear system failures, but within what appears to be normal activity. I’m particularly interested in how emerging technologies, especially AI, can help institutions move beyond rule-based approaches and better identify hidden patterns of risk. CAMS certified.
