I work at the intersection of research, innovation, and digital transformation — helping NHS organisations move from paper-heavy, fragmented processes to connected, auditable systems that enable faster, safer research delivery.At University Hospitals of Leicester, I’ve helped shape the organisation’s digital research strategy, leading implementation of Florence eISF to strengthen compliance, efficiency, and oversight. I also co-founded the National Florence eISF Group, bringing together trusts across the UK to share best practice, align governance, and accelerate adoption of digital site file solutions.Alongside this, I remain an active electroacoustic composer with an international profile — a practice that continually informs how I lead innovation. My PhD in Music Composition developed a deep understanding of systems, structure, and creative problem-solving — skills I now apply to transforming complex research environments. I see digital transformation much like composition: balancing precision, imagination, and collaboration to create something coherent and impactful.In 2025, I’ll be speaking at Research Revolution in Atlanta, sharing UHL’s digital journey and contributing to global conversations on the future of research delivery.I’m passionate about designing change that lasts — where technology genuinely empowers staff, strengthens data integrity, and accelerates research for patients.
