ABOUT LOUIS VICTOR BLAIN
Having worked in the welding industry for over 19 years, I started as a trade qualified welder and steadily progressed into technical and leadership roles to become an expert in the field. This journey has equipped me with a unique combination of hands-on trade experience, advanced welding engineering expertise, and strategic management capabilities.A key experience I have is in the rolling stock industry across Canada and Australia. I have led initiatives including project start-ups, welding coordination and management, supplier development and auditing across multiple countries including China, New Zealand, and Malaysia. My work has also involved production troubleshooting, and the successful establishment of a new welding training centre. My work at Weld Australia has spanned technical consultancy, project and people management, and business development with a strong focus on delivering welding engineering services aligned with national and international standards. This also includes extensive involvement in company certification audits to AS/NZS ISO 3834, EN 15085, DIN 2303, ISO 9001, and AS/NZS 5131. I am a committed person who takes pride in the work I deliver. I enjoy mentoring other, developing myself, and am driven by my passion for welding.
