Joined a team of mental health professionals (counselors, psychologists, case managers, socialworkers) providing direct and consultative social work services public high school with ~100staff/faculty and 1.2K students ages 14 to 18.* Coordinated referrals and in-take sessions, and applied data-based decision making inassessments and ratings to identify optimal therapeutic interventions for individuals withsocial/emotional, behavioral and mental health issues.* Designed and facilitated individual and group therapy for a 40-person caseload to addressissues related to trauma, homelessness, substance abuse, medical diagnosis and other factorscausing grief, depression and anxiety.* Applied evidence-based Social/Emotional Learning (SEL), structured psychotherapy(SPARCS), and holistic wellness therapies (Rainbow) in individual and group settings.* Supported the Special Education Department in writing/updating IEP goals and providingacademic and skills support services for students with physical impairments, intellectualdisabilities and emotional/behavioral disorders.* Actively participated in problem-solving team meetings with staff, faculty and team membersfor individuals displaying inappropriate behavior, disciplinary actions, chronic/poor attendanceand low academic performance.* Supported faculty and staff in de-escalation and crisis prevention, and engaged in regularcommunications and presentations to improve awareness and recognize signs of suicide, abuseand other trauma.* Forged partnerships with external medical professionals, human services agencies andcommunity organizations to create a comprehensive ecosystem for referrals and additionalsupport services for students and their families.* Partnered with Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education as a Program Assistant for an after-school enrichment program teaching nutrition, cooking and social skills.
