ABOUT LIZA ABELES LUTZKER

I am an experienced public health research professional and Epidemiology doctoral student with over 15 years of academic and government work in epidemiology, data management, and survey design. My research focuses on traffic safety outcomes, with particular attention to the appropriate role of policing in promoting traffic safety and the historical social policies that have led to significant racial disparities in traffic deaths and injuries.In my spare time, I champion a safe and healthy Berkeley through my work as a pedestrian, bicycle and mobility justice advocate at Walk Bike Berkeley.
