ABOUT LIZ CLARKE
Liz is a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) with 17 years of professional experience in environmental approvals and environmental regulation. Liz has worked both in the private and public sectors to deliver a wide range of projects and environmental outcomes across Queensland. Liz has delivered projects for clients in various industry sectors including petroleum and gas (conventional and unconventional); mining; waste and resource recovery; water and sewage; extractive (quarries); bulk materials; chemical, and renewable energy industries.Liz specialises in preparing environmental authority (EA) approvals strategies, applications, and compliance assessments under the Queensland Environmental Protection Act 1994 (EP Act). This is supplemented by broad experience under the Planning Act 2016. Liz also has experience with the underground water management framework under Chapter 3 of the Water Act Liz has played key roles in various projects providing strategic advice on environmental policy, regulatory requirements, approvals pathways, and associated risks and opportunities. Liz has also led or played key roles in various EA application and compliance projects on behalf of clients. Liz also has some development assessment experience for renewable energy projects.Liz is also passionate about creating inclusive work environments, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and neurodivergent people.
