As Unilite has grown at such an incredible rate recently, with the addition of numerous new employees, we have needed to separate the business into more defined departments. So my new job role is now Head of Marketing, being responsible for all marketing and our brand image.

Hi, my name is Lisa, I consider myself to be highly inquisitive and adaptable, and particularly relish learning new skills and taking on new challenges. I quite freely admit that I have an OCD problem when it comes to attention to detail! Everything has to be perfectly neat and aligned and I can easily spot anomalies. I pride myself on being an extremely quick learner and always want to know why or how something works and really enjoy trying to ‘figure it out’ for myself. I’ve worked for Unilite for over 10 years and am very proud of my quick progression, especially during the first 5 years. Starting as a basic Administrator covering maternity leave, and after 6 promotions, I’m now responsible for the companies branding. My predominate role is producing printed articles, which includes creating and designing all product packaging which also includes writing technical user manuals, along with producing digital and printed documents such as brochures, catalogues, booklets, leaflets, exhibition stands, etc. One of my other favourite roles is product design, I love coming up with new product ideas, making a product look unique, or adding never seen before features, particularly ones that make it more useful for the end user. This does not just include lighting products which Unilite are mainly known for, this also includes Tool bags, clothing, safety gloves, knives, safety glasses, and much more. The other main role I enjoy at Unilite is product sourcing and buying. On a day-to-day basis I deal with all our suppliers, and I also really enjoy finding and building relationships with new suppliers and sourcing new products that can be added to our product offering. This also involves assisting with shipping arrangements too. I also enjoy planning and organising all the exhibitions we attend which includes all pre-event organisation including liaising with the stand contractors and the digital team to make sure posts are scheduled into the social media diary. I am highly proficient in the Adobe Suite, predominately Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. I also work with WordPress on a daily basis, and happily use the Microsoft suite to a very high standard and can work easily on either Windows or Mac systems.
