To observe, supervise, and evaluate the faculty in the development and implementation of curriculum; to supervise the teaching process, and to review and evaluate academic programs-To be a visible presence in all areas of the school; to work toward a resolution of all problems - both routine and unique - as they arise; to keep the President informed of the general programs, activities, and problems of the school-With Division Heads, plan and implement new educational initiatives-Stimulates and participates in the dialog about teaching and learning at the school-Supervises curriculum integrity, alignment, and articulation across all three levels of the school; Maintain congruence between the academic program across both campuses; Lead the integration into the curriculum current developmental research and educational best practices; Coordinate the continuity of the scope and sequence of curriculum offerings and maintain the school’s curriculum maps-Works with key partners within and outside the school to coordinate and execute all faculty recruitment and hiring-Lead the Academic Council for Curricular Review to develop and implement curriculum and instructional practices that align with the School’s mission statement-Review standardized testing data and make summary recommendations-Support the President to build the School’s future which includes identifying, designing, and implementing new strategic initiatives that advance the School’s mission and are distinctive programs-Be a strategic thought-partner to the President by collaborating to develop goals and action plans that advance Pine Crest School’s excellence while designing new initiatives that ensure our students are future-ready-Design and lead a comprehensive and strategic development and implementation effort aligned with the President’s vision-Support curriculum development aimed to prepare our students to be future ready

ABOUT LISA OCKERMAN

Dr. Lisa Ockerman is the Vice President of Academics and Strategic Initiatives at Pine Crest School, which is dedicated to advancing existing and new educational programs, focusing on evaluating and shaping these programs to align with the school’s mission. With 30-plus years in education, Dr. Ockerman excels in building connections across various divisions and disciplines. In her role, Dr. Ockerman supervises curriculum alignment and oversees academic initiatives. She is instrumental in planning, developing, and implementing programs that drive the school’s strategic and educational goals.
