ABOUT LISA IHDE

lisaih.deAlready at school I was fascinated about logical connections and absorbed the content of every math lesson. Each new formula was for me like another spell for Hermione from \"Harry Potter\". Through a book I learned how to create a website when I was 11 years old. My enthusiasm for programming was born, especially for visual effects and the maker culture: I like to combine crafting and software development for creative use of technology.Armed with a bachelor\'s and a master\'s degree in \"IT Systems Engineering\" from the renowned Hasso Plattner Institute, I have authored four non-fiction books in the field of computer science. My accomplishments include securing a spot on the \"Forbes Under 30\" list, emerging victorious in numerous hackathons, and receiving honors such as the \"Zeiss Women Award\" and the \"Young Engineering Award\" as well as various scholarships throughout my journey. For example, my bachelor thesis at the Chair of Computer Graphical Systems dealt with rendering methods for mixed reality and was awarded by National Informatics Society (GI) and ARD/ZDF\'s Award for Women + Media Technology. In the context of hackathons I have already co-developed numerous apps that have won awards such as \"National Multimedia Award (mb21)\".As a woman thriving in the male-dominated IT industry from a working-class background, I have defied the odds and successfully secured positions at major tech companies. I am committed to fostering opportunities for others to pursue careers in IT.
