I offer professional guidance and support throughout the college exploration and application process, including-Providing overview of college application process -Developing personalized strategy for college planning and applications-Evaluating academic profile and suggesting courses that support the student’s college goals-Helping student choose extracurricular activities and summer programs that develop interests and talents, and increase the likelihood of admission to preferred colleges-Recommending appropriate SAT/ACT tests and dates-Developing a comprehensive list of colleges tailored to the student’s interests and goals. List is updated as the student evaluates each school-Assisting families with special needs such as learning disabilities or portfolio review-Guiding families in planning productive college visits and assisting in coordination of visits-Developing college application plan and timeline and overseeing student progress-Assisting student in brainstorming essay ideas -Editing common application and supplemental essays from first to final draft-Preparing student for successful interviews when applicable and performing mock interviews-Proofing/editing completed applications-Supporting student and family throughout the process via email, text, phone and in person communication
